For Immediate Release: Walter Garcia Rodriguez selected as Executive Director of Centro Latino of Iowa

Centro Latino of Iowa (CLI), the premier bilingual and bicultural Hispanic/Latino center in Southwest Iowa, announced today that Walter Garcia Rodriguez has been selected as the Executive Director effective August 1, 2023.

Walter has been working with non-profit organizations since 2007. He holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from Eastern University, Saint Davids, Pennsylvania.

As Director and Community Coordinator with Omaha Bridges Out of Poverty, Inc. Walter was responsible for recruiting, initiating, and nurturing partnerships with Community Services Agencies, Businesses, Churches, schools, and other organizations by ensuring all resources are available for childcare, food, education, and technologies.

With his knowledge to develop and create new strategies to expand services to improve communities economically in Southern California and Omaha. The Centro Latino of Iowa is very excited to have him as the new Executive Director.
